“Salt Water Punt” SWPPunts traditionally were built for freshwater dams and lakes. They suffered terribly as its shoebox shape twisted and flexed until the damage was irreversible. Tabs have built the first purposed built S.W.P. The rest of our range is overbuilt why not the humble punt. We reduced the distance between our floor ribs, increased the amount of pressings and beefed up the keel extrusion and welding. As she’s billed to handle rougher water; we also lengthened the rake at the entry to pick up the wave earlier, this and the extra construction weight mean you shouldn’t be scared of a little chop, she can handle it. An engineered and individually blueprinted rocker on all SWP will give you all the trim range you need so you can fine tune, ride, hull dryness, and efficiency. The bottom is almost flat giving you all the attributes of the perfect fishing rig like land based stability, low horse power planning ability and very competitive high horsepower top end speeds. Less draft also means effortless gliding under electric power using very minimal thrust. While under electric we also considered our forward sheet angles to minimise water slap that scare off the wily bream. Other benefits of the S.W.P. include very large front casting platforms and cavernous under deck storage. "One heck of a tough boat"
